Hi and welcome to our first tutorial about all things we feel are relevant to Fault Level, this is a massive area of interest to both DNO Engineers and anyone who is trying to gain connectivity to the National Grid through a DNO.
In these slides we will be discussing the Rules and Understanding of Fault Level and how all DNOs expect the Renewable Industry to understand their requirements.
Another very important area of knowledge which we need to be aware of, is “Head Room” the narrative used by DNO engineers regarding this is as follows, “Fault level headroom is the gap between the existing fault level on the network and the fault level rating of the circuit breakers.”
