Description
We have been asked so many times to show clients how to fill in and understand what the DNO's are looking for when we fill in a G99 application form.
There are many real applications and plans from real projects, and all this information can be shown as its all in the Public Domain, or has been approved to be used by the owner of the intellectual property concerned.
But always have it in your mind as you work through this information, that all DNOs and the Engineers within those DNOs are independent, and they have different ways of reading the Engineering Recommendations.
The information given in this training section will give you a much better understanding of what they are looking for in the many questions they ask within the G99 application forms, we will also show you a real application form which has been filled in and has achieved a connection offer.
Without this information it is very unlikely that you would ever achieve a successful application.
Types of Power Generating Module are defined in Engineering Recommendation G99 and are shown below:

Type B: A Power Generating Module with a Connection Point below 110 kV and Registered Capacity of 1 MW or greater but less than 10 MW.
Type C: A Power Generating Module with a Connection Point below 110 kV and a Registered Capacity of 10 MW or greater but less than 50 MW.
Type D: A Power Generating Module with a Connection Point at, or greater than, 110 kV; or with a Connection Point below 110 kV and with Registered Capacity of 50 MW or greater.
